When St. Martin’s Press published Inside: Life Behind Bars in America, more than 50 major newspapers brought attention to the work by publishing book reviews. The Los Angeles Times Sunday Book Review retained a celebrated writer who won a Pulitzer Prize for journalism to write the first review.
The review by Ed Humes brought my work to the attention of more than 1 million people. I could leverage the review to open new opportunities.
