The Power of Daily Preparation: A Commitment to Personal Growth
Dear readers,
First and foremost, I’d like to extend my sincerest apologies for the hiatus in my writing over the past couple of months. My commitment to advocacy projects has kept me deeply engaged, but I recognize the importance of staying connected with you all. Your patience and understanding mean the world to me.
Today, I want to emphasize a principle that has been a cornerstone of my journey and countless others: the importance of daily preparation. Whether we’re inside or outside the prison walls, the choices we make every day shape our future. It’s these daily decisions, no matter how small, that compound over time and determine the trajectory of our lives.
The Straight-A Guide, a program I hold close to my heart, underscores the significance of this daily commitment. It teaches us that success isn’t an overnight phenomenon but a result of consistent efforts. Every day presents an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to take a step closer to our goals. If you have not had an opportunity to work through our program: Preparing for Success after Prison, please let us know by sending an email to [email protected].
Drawing inspiration from the Parable of the Talents, we’re reminded of the divine responsibility to nurture and grow our talents. The parable teaches us that we must not bury our potential but invest in it. Just as the servants in the parable were entrusted with talents, we too have been given unique gifts and abilities. It’s our duty to hone these skills, to never stop working on ourselves, and to continually build value.
Part of the reason for my absence in writing goes directly to what I advise in our courses. Those lessons remind people that we must have a good plan, and we must prioritize our action. Each of you is important to me, but it’s also important for me to build business that can support our work–as it costs a lot for us to show our commitment to people in prison. But my passion is advocacy, and now that I have a new business in place, I have resources.
For those of you committed to personal growth and transformation, our program, “Preparing for Success after Prison,” is designed to support and guide you. We believe in the power of preparation, and we’re here to help you navigate the challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead.
If you’re on a journey of self-improvement and wish to memorialize your preparations for success, we invite you to share your story with us. Your experiences, challenges, and triumphs can inspire countless others.
Please reach out to us at [email protected]. Your voice matters, and together, we can create a ripple effect of positive change.
In closing, remember that every day is a gift, an opportunity to prepare for a brighter future. Embrace it, cherish it, and most importantly, make the most of it.
With gratitude and hope,
Michael Santos, Founder of Prison Professors
