After serving as a math professor and author for more than 14 years, a government investigation resulted in abrupt changes for Denise and her family.
She reinvented herself in 2018, starting her own digital marketing company to help Real estate agents with lead generation.
Denise co-authored Navigating Through Mathematics. In 2020, after a lengthy investigation, authorities charged Denise with a felony for fraudulent schemes. She pled to an undesignated felony for theft. Although prosecutors asked for 36 months, and the judge said that he intended to sentence Denise to 18 months, her preparations before sentencing led to a one-year term of probation. Her preparation helped her to avoid prison.
